Darla has seventeen years of experience in a variety of physical therapy areas including acute care, home health, in-patient rehab, outpatient, and the school settings. Her passion however, is working with children in the home health setting. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991 with a B.S. in Community Health. In 1993, she earned her B.S. in Health Care Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She graduated from UTMB Galveston in 1995 with her Master’s in Physical Therapy. Darla is a member of the APTA and TPTA and serves as a liason between the TPTA and the PTA program at Northeast Texas Community College. Darla began working for THERAPY 2000 in October 2010 and also functioned as the East Texas Division’s District Manager prior to her current role as Division Director. Darla states, “I really enjoy taking an active part in THERAPY 2000’s growth into the East Texas area and watching the positive impact our agency has on the lives of our patients and their families, especially in some of the more remote areas of East Texas.” Darla enjoys spending time with her family in her free time, especially watching her son play football and shopping with her daughter. She also likes to travel and read when she has the opportunity.
