Description: Pediatric physical therapists utilize a variety of standardized measures in their evaluations. Each of these tools utilize different reporting techniques, that can make test interpretation challenging. This PT forum will allow therapists to discuss the common difficulties with reporting standardized tests used by pediatric physical therapists. Participants will also explore less commonly used standardized tools to broaden the assessment repertoire. Additionally, this forum will allow participants to discuss how to select the most appropriate tool for children they work with and collaborate with peers on real case scenarios.
Objectives: Following this web meeting, participants will…
- describe the broad normal range and standard deviations of the most commonly utilized physical therapy assessment tools.
- identify one new standardized measure for use in their evaluations.
- discuss how assessment tools can be utilized to develop goals and the physical therapy plan of care.
