This event is open to OT/ PT/ST.  Kathy Clapsaddle, MS, CCC-SLP will be presenting.

This course is approved for 2 hours, TSHA and TOTA.  TPTA approval is still pending.

Course Description:

Feel like you’re doing the same thing day in, day out?  Think your kids aren’t making the kind of progress you feel they should?  Overwhelming caseloads got you down?  This session explores a variety of innovative service delivery options for Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy in school settings.  Research and practical application will be shared for a variety of service delivery models, including intensive service delivery, classroom-based services for both general education and special education classrooms, collaborative consultation, and the effective use of supplementary aids and services.  Resources and ideas for implementation will be shared, and documentation requirements, including the ARD schedule of services, will be discussed.

About Our Presenter:

Kathy Clapsaddle, MS, CCC-SLP

Kathy has been an SLP for 14 years and has worked as a therapist, a university instructor, a professional developer and a leader.  She is considered to be a therapy geek by those that know her well, and she currently serves on the editorial board for the journal EBP Briefs.  As a therapist, she is fascinated by the puzzle of children with autism and severe communication impairments and has extensive expertise in assistive technology.  Additionally, as a board member and active volunteer in the Texas Speech Language Hearing Association, she extends her passion and advocacy for our important work across the state.

The course is being offered for free.
