Karla Martz, COTA

With an incredible 40-year career as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Karla brings both experience and heart to everything she does. She’s been part of the Therapy 2000 since a merger with First Steps Therapy.

While she was unsure at first what the merger would bring, Karla found a team she truly values at Therapy 2000. “I feel well supported with great supervisors and experts that I can turn to whenever I need assistance,” she shares. That support and the flexibility of her role means so much to her that she happily commutes from out of state to continue doing the work she loves.

Making An Impact Across Settings

She provides care in both home health and clinic settings, and no matter where she is, her impact is felt. Her supervisors describe her as someone who is deeply respected in every setting she works in, a reflection of her dedication, experience, and the way she connects with patients and families.

And it’s work she’s deeply passionate about.

“I love occupational therapy because I get to see patients succeed and thrive,” she says. From building fine motor and visual motor integration skills to increasing strength, endurance, and independence in daily activities, Karla is driven by helping children reach their fullest potential.

A Passionate Goal

She enjoys working with children of all ages and diagnoses, supporting them in developing the skills they need for functional play and everyday life. Her goal is simple but powerful: to help every child live a full, productive life with as much independence as possible.
