From Feeding Therapy to Feeding a Career: Katina’s Impact in the Baby Bridge Program

“"Our clinicians are supported every step of the way," reflects Katina, "allowing them to deliver high-quality care while growing their expertise and confidence."”

Katina is a Speech Language Pathologist and High-Risk Infant Feeding Specialist at Therapy 2000 who cares for babies and their parents in our Baby Bridge program as they transition from the NICU to home.

Building Confidence Through Everyday Moments

For many families, leaving the hospital after months of around-the-clock support can feel overwhelming. Katina and our Baby Bridge team help bridge that gap by continuing care in the home to ensure a smooth, supported transition. “We support parents in supporting their baby to create positive habits after returning home from the NICU. Sometimes this starts with how to sit comfortably on the couch together,” comments Katina. By coaching parents on feeding, positioning, and daily routines, she helps build confidence and establish healthy habits that carry into everyday life.

Specialized Care, Stronger Clinicians

This level of specialized care isn’t something most clinicians learn in school alone. At Therapy 2000, therapists receive dedicated training and ongoing mentorship in feeding and motor therapy, equipping them to provide high-quality care. “Our clinicians are supported every step of the way,” reflects Katina, “allowing them to deliver high-quality care while growing their expertise and confidence.”
