Build Your Day. Change Their World.
A Foundation Built in the NICU
Lacy is an occupational therapist who brings deep clinical expertise and a passion for supporting the youngest patients in Southeast Texas. After spending much of her career in the NICU, as a Certified Neonatal Therapist, Lacy was drawn to home health to expand beyond a highly specialized setting and work with families in their natural environment. Today, she supports infants with high-risk needs as a High Risk Infant Motor Specialist and follows children into toddlerhood, helping them grow and thrive at home and in daycare settings.
Empowering Caregivers Every Step of the Way
For Lacy, one of the most meaningful parts of being an OT is empowering caregivers. “It’s about building parents’ confidence, helping them feel equipped to support their child and celebrate every milestone along the way.”
In her work with infants, especially those with NICU histories, Lacy focuses on feeding coordination, early motor development, and sensory regulation. She partners with caregivers to implement simple, effective strategies that support developmental progress. Her approach is hands-on, supportive, and family-centered.
Why Home Health?
She’s also quick to highlight what makes occupational therapy so impactful: “We’re helping patients become more independent and fulfilled, based on what matters most to them and their families.”
For clinicians considering home health, Lacy emphasizes the collaboration it offers: “You’re not just working with the patient, you’re supporting the entire family.” While the setting can feel like a big transition, she notes that the support at Therapy 2000 makes all the difference. With built-in mentorship and guidance, even newer clinicians are set up for success. Also, with the flexibility to shape your schedule, clinicians can create a workday that fits their life, while maximizing both impact and earning potential.
